ProRemote for the Apple iPhone

While this is a little off topic for our usual news regiment this is spot on for the research that I have been doing to improve the site.

During the last week we have been researching doing video reviews and some audio spots for the DigiGamer site. I use Pro Tools LE for most of our at home audio recording and this application would solve my only Pro Tools woe. While I don’t official have an iPhone yet, I have been a little more interested in them these days. Hopefully this will be available for a public release next year!

Persona 3 Mobile Phone Prequel

Persona 3 Mobile Phone PrequelPersona 3 Mobile Phone Prequel

While I have not been to interested in mobile phone gaming.More and more of these Japanese only titles are getting my hopes up that it could actually be a solid platform for us here in North America. Persona is even getting into the act with a prequel to Persona 3 for your mobile phone called “Aigis: The First Mission”. While I’m sure that most of us would gladly pay 525 Yen($4.25) for this prequel to play on our phone. Sadly I don’t think we will see this one get a localized version ,unless Atlus USA decided to break into the mobile market.

Android Demo

While they didn’t touch to much on the subject of games for the Android platform, you get a brief look at Quake running on it. Sure Quake came out forever and a day ago but it really shows some potential that the platform could have and its impact on the mobile gaming front. With the Android platform and the proper hardware we could see titles developed for these handsets that would give us a deep gameplay experience like the PSP and DS have already done. It is just a though but it could still happen.

More iPod Mania

More iPod ManiaWell if a new iPod Nano was enough yesterday it looks like they also announce the iPod Touch, iPod Classic and a price drop for the iPhone. I have been on the fence for a bit on the whole iPhone thing and I still am just a bit, but this price drop certainly makes it a bit easier to handle. Check out your new choices for music players at Apple.

Microsoft Surface

Microsoft Surface

Here is a new thing from Microsoft that brings personal computing and when it hits the consumer range, casual gaming to your living room, favorite restaurants, and hotels. When I first saw the demo with Bill Gates all I could think about is how my dad would love to have this to play poker or any popcap games his living room. It has a lot of features that are very neat but at this very moment it is way too expensive for my taste clocking in at $10,000. I have the first video here and the other ones after the jump with the full press release.
