Yesterday’s Link Mania

Yep this is Fridays… I’ve been a bit under the weather (still). Should be back on track by Tuesday. Have an awesome Memorial Day!!! :P
FYI - last weeks link about the kids with the $30K and the hookers… yeah that’s fake… but boy was it funny! Give it 10 years, it may actually happen.

With all of the recent MGS4 talk going on around the house, these pictures reminded me of what the Octocamo would look like if fashion got its hands on it… (some nudity, be careful at work)

Tatsunoko vs Capcom:Cross Generation of Heroes!

Here is a mash-up that I haven’t really ever though about. Tatsunoko is the animation house behind anime classics like Gatchaman, Speed Racer, Casshern and Samurai Pizza Cats. Then you add one part Capcom and mix until you have a new awesome fighting game. Given the awesome line up potential from both Capcom and Tatsunoko gets me excited. Pitting epic matches between Racer X, Speed, Kyosuke from Soul Taker, Mega Man(maybe the ZX version now as well) and the cast of Street Fighter. Oh the sleepness nights.

Cross Generation of Heroes will be hitting arcades first in Japan and then probably never make it here due to some licensing problems. So this will have to be my first must have import whenever it hits console.

Japanese Tracks coming to Rock Band!?! (Rumor)

You know what is missing from Rock Band? Jrock/Jpop. I would gladly dish out hard earned cash to jam out L’Arc en Ciel on Rock Band. Hopefully I am not to far off on this one since Joystiq is reporting that there is the possibility of more new International DLC coming soon.

So what international music would you like to hear in Rock Band? While it may not be a shock to most of you but I love me some Japanese Rock like The Pillows(video at the top), L’Arc en Ciel, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation just to name a few. But I would also love to see more European Rock make it over here like where is a Placebo(my pick above) track or even The Verve? So hopefully soon!

Yesterday’s Link Mania

Yesterday was a crazy day with the Wii Fit Launch. Here is some required reading from yesterdays headlines.

Did you wanted the Gunmetal MGS4 PS3 but missed out on the preorder? Make it yourself

Here is a little help getting that giant graphic printed out on your home printer. PosteRazor

Infinite Undiscovery makes a worldwide debut September 2nd.

Did you know there is a big Japanese DS homebrew scene? Well me either but it has some awesome looking games.

Did you know Calorie Mate is a real snack? I thought it was just made up for Metal Gear Solid 3! Vending Valhalla

Well back to our regular programing and I am still looking for Wii Fit at MSRP. Hopefully I can score it tonight or I’ll have to drown my sorrow with more “The World Ends with You”. Which is you don’t have shame on you! It is really very good and I am glad to see them get away from the usual SE Final Fantasy milk fest.

Wii Fit Mania Starts

Wii Fit

So if you are just crawling out from under a rock Wii Fit is in all stores today. While I really don’t think the game is going to make us all lose a bunch of weight. I do however believe the game will bring a bit of health conciseness into our lives.

I am working on getting some video impression of us doing a test drive of Wii Fit but like a slacker forgot to pre-order. To my surprise the local game store is sold out today. Now I am  going to try the usual suspects on the way home this evening to see if I can get something rolling for you.

If you picked up the games please send us in some pictures or comments for a Wii Fit piece that I am working on to elmikey(a)digigamer(dot)net.

Yesterday’s Link Mania

Well since Ttoes is sick I will be posting in her stead. Here are some of the awesome things that caught my eye yesterday!

PAX2008 is “Still Alive”

Worst Gadgets Ever

This was just wrong and right all at the same time and it is SFW.

Karma Sutra for IT People

I was really excited and sacred to hear that there could be more Metal Gear. It can work without Snake but it will be interesting to see how it will.

More Metal Gear

Dragonball head to the DS

This is on my want list now and fill the need for TV programing in my household.

Roku Netflix Box(must have for Netflix users)

Welll maybe it isn’t as exciting and all over the place as Ttoes Link mania. But it is definitely some stuff to check out. Also if you have any cool thing that you have found we may post them up for you. Send us your articles or points of interest items via tips(a)digigamer(dot)net.

The Conduit or more reasons to be excited about core games for the Wii

Publishers have been slow to make some of the games that most of us have immediately thought of when we saw the wiimote for the first time. Sure point and click adventure games are coming out and FPS games were a no brainer if they worked out the controls right and put a little time into a great game engine like Metroid Prime. Thankfully The Conduit is shaping up to be another one of those great FPS game and not another shovelware title. So far we have seen just a few shots of the game and a teaser. Today they released a full trailer to show off this upcoming FPS for the Wii.

Be sure to keep an eye out for this game in the coming months.
